Egypt
signed four cooperation agreements with a number of international oil companies
(IOCs), including Apache, BP, ENI and Kuwait Energy to train young and
middle-management calibers, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.
The
agreements were signed by Osama Mobarez, Undersecretary at the Ministry of
Petroleum, signed the agreements with David Chi, VP and General Manager of
Apache Egypt, Karim Alaa, General Manager of BP Egypt, Fabio Cavana, IEOC
General Manager at Eni and Kamel Al Sawi, President of Kuwait Energy Egypt, in
the presence of Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla.
According
to these agreements, the batch of youth enrolling in the young and
middle-management program that have passed the tests will be trained to join a
program designed and prepared to qualify them for leadership.
El Molla
affirmed that these agreements demonstrate the petroleum sector’s efforts in
preparing young talents for leadership and give them opportunities to progress
and prove their worth, in light of the Modernization Project. The minister
added that cooperation between the sector and IOCs has been a successful model
for cooperation and commitment, combining a broad base of expertise,
capabilities, and new technological means.
