On 25th September 2025, Eng. Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, participated in the fifth edition of the Annual HSE Day 2025, under the theme "Protecting People and Planet through Sustainable Leadership." The event was organized by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources in the New Administrative Capital under the auspicies of the Minister and in collaboration with Italy's Eni.
During his opening speech, the Minister asserted that the MoPMR's strategic pillars can not be achieved without HSE principles, which are necessary for safeguarding employees, attracting investment, and ensuring production stability. He pointed out that while safety is one of six strategic pillars, it remains the crucial cornerstone for the success of all others.
For his part, Eng. Yassin Mohamed, First Undersecretary for HSE, Energy Efficiency and Climate, emphasized that the Annual Safety Day reflects the sector's vision and commitment that HSE should be firm, governing values for every project and each decision.
Mr. Guido Brusco, Eni's Chief Operating Officer - Global Natural Resources, pointed that committing to HSE principles is a moral obligation beyond a mere slogan, forming the basis for protecting people, assets, and the environment.
Francesco Gasparri, Eni's General Manager in Egypt, praised the Ministry's cooperation with Eni in organizing this event, highlighting the mutual commitment to safety.
