On 15th August 2025, Eng. Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, met with Vineet Mehra, the CEO of the UAE-based IRH Company, to discuss cooperation in finance and mining domains.
During the meeting, in the presence of Mr. Nasser Shoman, Undersecretary of the Ministry for the Transport and Distribution of Petroleum Products and Supervisor of the Foreign Trade Division at the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), Mehra asserted that cooperation with Egypt is based on a long-term vision, expressing the company's belief in Egypt's major potential in the mining sector, particularly in gold and phosphate. He pointed out the company's interest in transferring its expertise and applying its successful models implemented in various countries.
For his part, Eng. Karim Badawi highlighted that this cooperation represents a new model of strategic partnership, integrates sustainable financing with advanced technology, aiming at maximizing the benefits from mineral resources.
