on 15th February 2023, the closure of the 6th edition of EGYPS, under the patronage of H.E. President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, featured Global Equality in Energy Awards Ceremony. During the ceremony, Petroleum Minister, Tarek El Molla, awarded the winners for their contributory roles in equity and diversity in the energy industry. Among the award entries employees from NOCS, IOCs, and technology and solution providers for their noteworthy contributions to the global energy market, while proving robust leadership skills, constant success on both personal and professional levels, and notable capabilities in achieving career progress and harnessing the working environment.
6 winners were declared for 3 award categories:
As for Women in Leadership category Shahira Osman- Regional Branded Workshops Channel Manager at Chevron was announced as the winner and Omnia Bekheit- Investment and Financial Planning General Manager at ANOPC- was awarded as highly commended finalist.
On the other hand, Eng. Marwa Maghraby, Process Engineer at ENPPI, was named STEM Star of the Year. Meanwhile, Mariam Shreif, Imperial College student, was announced as highly commended finalist.
Eng. Lamees Sultan, Offshore Site Engineer at BP, was announced as the winner of NEX-GEN Female of the Year award, which was accepted on her behalf by her mother. While Maureen Amir, Completions Engineer at BP, received the highly commended award.
