Minister of Petroleum witnesses the signing of 16 MOUs and Agreements between the Petroleum Sector and a number of IOCs

Signing a Cooperation Agreement between Enppi and SAP

On 15^th February 2023, on the sidelines of the third day of EGYPS 2023, Eng. Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, witnessed the signing of 16 MOUs and cooperation agreements between the Petroleum Sector and a number of IOCs.

1. The Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) and Shell signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to assess waste management to convert it into sustainable jet fuel.

2. The Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) has also signed a contract with the Arabian Petroleum Supply Company APSCO for the sale of civil jet fuel at Cairo International Airport.

3. The Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) also signed a memorandum of understanding with the Chinese company CCDC Middle East, one of the subsidiaries of the Chinese National Petroleum Corporation, to apply modern systems for managing, occupational health and environmental protection on drilling rigs.

4. The Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation also signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with DNV Company for cooperation in the domain of sustainability in its economic, environmental and social dimensions.

5. A framework agreement was also signed between the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation and Cisco to support digital transformation projects, provide the latest solutions and programs, and technical support, in order to secure and protect the infrastructure of the petroleum sector.

6. The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources signed a training agreement with the international company Enap Siptrol in Egypt.

7. Petrojet also inked a memorandum of understanding with Honeywell International in North Africa regarding cooperation with Petrojet as a local manufacturing and assembly company for Honeywell, with regard to Honeywell automation solutions.

8. Petrojet and DNV also signed an MoU to support Petrojet's participation in green hydrogen production projects.

9. The Egyptian Maintenance Company (EMC) and Huawei Technologies Egypt signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in the use of ICT infrastructure events for digital transformation in oil and gas.

10. EMC also signed an agreement with DNV Company to conduct mechanical and process evaluations at the Assiut refinery.

11. Petrojet is the way of activating digital transformation between the various sector companies, in addition to providing training programs for the Sector's Cadres.

12. Enppi also signed a cooperation agreement with the international Saipem company for cooperation in the field of engineering projects, as well as the subsequent implementation phase of projects.

13. GASCO also signed a memorandum of understanding with the Emirati company "MMEC" Mannesmann GmbH, so that GASCO works in the United Arab Emirates, including technical inspection works for gas and oil lines, line repair works, in addition to hot drilling works, the establishment of gas measurement stations and the installation of SCADA systems. This is due to the expertise, capabilities and previous works in this field that GASCO possesses.

14. Contracts were signed between the Air Petroleum Services Company and the Egyptian Aviation Academy to establish a training center for helicopter pilots for the first time in Egypt and the Middle East.

15. The Egyptian Company for Gas Services (ECGS) and Schlumberger International and its subsidiaries have signed a cooperation agreement to benefit from the advanced services, activities and technology that characterize Schlumberger, to provide these services and activities to all petroleum companies operating under the umbrella of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.

16. GASCO to provide services for exploration and production fields and sites, such as flare gas recovery services, well water desalination in petroleum sites, well lining and well drilling chemicals.
