On 12th February 2023, on the sidelines of EGYPS 2023, Eng. Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources held a meeting of talks with Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice-Chairman of the board of directors of the Mubadala Investment Company.
El Molla stated that the discussions tackled the aspects of ongoing mutual cooperation, which is currently taking part in gas exploration activities in the Mediterranean Sea region. They discussed the methods of optimizing the areas of cooperation and joint investment opportunities that Mubadala would get. Mubadala showed keenness on injecting new investments, especially in Egypt's energy sector, as well as decarbonisation projects, which are considered the best option for energy security.
For his part, Mansour appreciated being invited to this major conference, stating that Mubadala is well committed to carrying out its projects in Egypt and willing to increase its investments in Egypt's petroleum sector, which enjoys a great potential.
