Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Witnesses the Signing of Baltim East Field Development Contract Extension between EGPC & Both Eni and BP.
Eng. Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, and Martina Oppizi, President of North Africa and the Levant at Eni, witnessed the signing ceremony for the extension of the development contract of the Baltim East field in Baltim concession area in the Nile Delta by Eni and BP. This aligns with the efforts to enhance upstream activities to increase the production of both crude oil and natural gas.
The contract was signed by Eng. Salah Abdel Karim, CEO of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC); Mr. Francesco Gaspari, General Manager of Eni in Egypt; and Eng. Wael Shaheen, BP’s Regional Vice President in Egypt, in the presence of Dr. Samir Raslan, Undersecretary for Agreements and Exploration; Dr. Mohamed El Bagoury, Supervisor of the Central Department for Legal Affairs; and Mahmoud Aboul Yazid, Deputy General Manager of Eni in Egypt, in addition to a number of officials from the Ministry, BP and Eni.
