On 2nd Dec. 2024, Eng. Karim Badawi, Egypt's Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, and Dr. Saleh Al-Kharabsheh, Jordan's Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement aimed at optimizing the economic use of Egypt's infrastructure for receiving imported liquefied natural gas (LNG) to support Jordan's energy needs.
The agreement was signed by Eng. Yasseen Mohamed, CEO of EGAS, and Dr. Sufyan Bataineh, Director General of the Jordanian National Electric Power Company (NEPCO), in the presence of Eng. Moataz Atef, Undersecretary of the Minister's office, technical office and Official Spokesperson.
