On 15th Nov.2021, Eng. Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, participated in the opening ceremony of Abu Dhabi Petroleum Conference and Exhibition "ADIPEC 2021"; one of the world's most influential events for global energy industry, held in the UAE capital, during 15-18 November 2021, under the theme "Unlocking New Value Opportunities in the Energy System", with participation of more than 160 Petroleum and Energy Ministers, IOC's CEOs, as well as a number of distinctive experts worldwide. More significance of the event this year, comes as it took place immediately after COP26, held in Glasgow, to be the first global forum that discusses results of the Summit and the role of the energy industry in combating climate change, environment, and achieving sustainability.
During the opening ceremony, Eng. Tarek El Molla participated as a keynote speaker in the opening session, "New Market Dynamics in a Changing Energy World". Speakers also included, His Excellency Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry & Advanced Technology, United Arab Emirates & Managing Director and Group CEO, ADNOC. Mr. Suhail Mohamed Faraj Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, UAE, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Minister of Energy Saudi Arabia. Shri Hardeep S Puri, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, India. Pavel Yurievich Sorokin, Deputy Minister of Energy, Russian Federation.
The Egyptian Petroleum Sector participated in the exhibition through Egypt's pavilion, that comprised a number of Egyptian petroleum companies to demonstrate the investment opportunities in the oil and gas industry, along with the Egyptian companies' capabilities in implementing the petroleum projects inside and outside Egypt.
