  • We work together under a new government program that aims at continuing the path of economic reform, focusing on attracting and increasing local and foreign investments, encouraging the growth of the Private Sector, and exerting efforts for the country's comprehensive economic development in all sectors, especially the Petroleum and Mining sectors. The priority always lies in:

  • Working on increasing local production of petroleum resources (crude oil and natural gas) by accelerating the development of newly discovered wells and setting them on the production map, as well as intensifying the upstream operations in Egypt's onshore and offshore regions.
  • Attracting more new investments in the upstream domain and clean energies such as hydrogen.
  • Enhancing secure and sustainable fuel supplies to the local market.
  • Supporting efforts for energy transition and diversifying Egypt's energy sources.
  • Completing major projects in the refining domain, such as the Diesel Production Complex Project in Assiut - ANOPEC and Midor.
  • Marketing for more investment opportunities for oil and gas Upstream projects using digital technologies, as well as providing and facilitating stimulating measures for increasing investments in this domain.
  • Investing in maximizing the added value projects of oil and gas resources, represented by the petrochemical industry, and expanding the new high-value petrochemical products that are the basis for establishing other industries.
  • Enhancing digitalization efforts for achieving governance and accelerating data circulation to support decision-making.
  • encouraging the Private Sector to maximize its engagement with the Petroleum and Mining Sectors.
  • Further qualifying and developing the petroleum cadres and leadership building.
  • Commitment to applying the HSE standards in the oil and gas industry system.
  • Supporting the Egyptian role as a regional hub for trading and exchanging energy in the region, as well as continuing the role that Egypt plays as a major hub in Africa, the Middle East and the Mediterranean regions and continuing to be a major source of talent in the oil and gas domains.
  • Maximizing the CSR of oil and gas sector activities in developing communities surrounding petroleum work areas.
  • Empowering the Mineral Resources Sector and its effectiveness in supporting the national economy, as well as investing the achieved progress in accelerating the reform steps.
