The information officer of the ministry of petroleum Hamdy Abd El Aziz denied what was published regarding that the Canadian ambassador Mr. Philip Macinon sent a letter to eng. Sameh Fahmy minister of petroleum giving the Egyptian government a three weeks notice to end the critical situation of the Agrium plant in Damietta and waving to seek international arbitration.
The information officer added that there are ongoing negotiations taking place between the different parties to reach the best decision.
The officer asked some of the newspapers to seek the right information and accuracy depending on the trusted sources as some of the newspapers discussed the Agrium plant issue depending on false information without being sure of it's accuracy and this information was used by some writers and analysts which lead to deception concerning the issue, the information officer said that the ministry of petroleum and its entities are ready to supply all the accurate information about the issue.
